Cultural shift

The U.S. would be rejoining the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). In 2017, the Trump administration had withdrew from the organisation, after which it also withdrew from the Paris Agreement and from funding the WHO. Biden has now brought the U.S. back into the organisation as well as rejoined the treaty.
U.S.'s return to the UNESCO is said to be because of China, with senior officials stating that U.S.'s absence had helped China gain more influence in setting the rules around AI and the ensuing technological shifts.
America's return might bring in enormous amounts of outstanding dues to the body but it is high time that the organisation gets stricter on countries exiting and entering on frivolous grounds, alongside framing policies and research.
